Welcome to Blissitude Yoga in DFW, North Dallas, Texas area. At Blissitude Yoga, Spinal Release Yoga is taught by Nancy Nurmi. This is a unique, compassionate style of yoga that uses the principal of Core release or spinal decompression to unravel deep-seated layers of tension in the body and mind. 
This is a non-athletic form of practice that uses the body compassionately and purposefully to open your body to your true self within by becoming embodied. 

This Yoga is:

What is offered at Blissitude Yoga?

Spinal Release Yoga

....propped (yoga blankets, blocks and yoga straps) yoga poses with hands on adjustments and alignments to decompress the spine & unravel deep-seated layers of tension to cultivate:
  • natural healing
  • reduce and manage physical and mental pain 
  • reduce stress and anxiety
  • help restore and rejuvenate your body & mind  
  • ***You must be able to get up and down off of the floor on your own
  • I am not certified to work with pregnant women
  • organ transplant recipients may not do this yoga as it could destabilize your organ.

Private Yoga

This is great for beginners, people uncomfortable with classes, and anyone wanting help with their current yoga practice. 
You will learn:
  • how to use blankets, chairs, and blocks for propping at home so that the poses reliably provide the intended benefits in body and mind.
  • how to sequence the poses for overall effectiveness. 
  • breathing practice. 
Your session will include time for you to practice your personalized sequence and receive alignment assistance to greatly enhance your home practice or your current classes.

Guided Relaxation with Yogic Rest

Would you like to experience inner replenishment, rejuvenation, grounding, and relaxation?
Join me for an hour of.....
  • lying on your back or side, or sitting in a chair while listening to a Guided Relaxation with Yogic Rest
  • it will enliven your being by taking you on a journey of deep rest, nourishment and relaxation. 
  • let go of holding on and effort, release physical and mental tensions and experience relaxation through the art of rest.   

Shavasana Yoga Therapy

ShavasanaYoga Therapy is a gentle, hands-on therapy technique that enables the release of deep core tensions in your body. It allows you to rest lying fully supported on your back in Shavasana, yoga’s relaxation pose, while the therapist places her hands at the base of your spine to facilitate deep release throughout your spine and entire body.
The session includes:
  • therapeutic adjustments and a gentle spinal massage.
  • a one-hour session promotes healing on all levels, and a sense of rejuvenation as well as relaxation.
  • benefits are equivalent to about 4-6 Therapeutic Spinal Release yoga classes.
