Spinal Release Yoga
A slower-paced yoga, utilizing props that meet your body where its at, and makes yoga accessible to everyone. Bring your stresses, aches and stuff with you! You’ll experience the difference in your first class. It’s easy to tell the difference when you feel better -a and without the sweat! This style of yoga is suitable for most anybody and every body--there are some exceptions. (***Read below).
What is Needed for Class?
- Folding chair or regular chair with no arm rests
- Folded Blankets, Pillows, and/or Couch Cushions-you can use what you have or purchase some Yoga blankets
- Yoga blankets (3 but 5-6 are recommended) or buy in bulk Here (Your purchase must be minimum of 10)
- 2 yoga blocks
- Blanket or sweater if you get cold
- Webcam on computer or phone, so I can see you and help you with yoga poses. It's hard to teach you yoga when I cannot see what you are doing. 😉
If you don't have these props you can improvise... we'll be creative, but having the correct tools for the job makes it much more effective! 😉
****Contraindications: (Cautions: Persons on immune-suppressant drugs who have had organ transplants may NOT do Therapeutic Spinal Release Yoga or Shavasana Yoga Therapy as it could destabilize their medical condition. )
****You must be able to get up and down off of the floor on your own for the Spinal Release Yoga Classes. It is slow paced but most of the poses are on the floor, in a chair or moving between the floor and chair.
